Basketball Recap: Grand Meadow Victorious

Grand Meadow won the last time they faced Schaeffer Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Grand Meadow Superlarks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 win over the Schaeffer Academy Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Superlarks have posted against the Lions since March 4, 2020.

The win made it two in a row for Grand Meadow and bumps their season record up to 6-14. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for Schaeffer Academy, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Grand Meadow and Schaeffer Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Grand Meadow (ranked 382nd) will meet Southland (ranked 63rd) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Schaeffer Academy will face off against Rushford-Peterson at 7:15 p.m. on Monday down 196 places (289 vs. 93).
