Basketball Recap: Wahoo Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

Wahoo won the last time they faced Wayne and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wahoo Warriors took down the Wayne Blue Devils 50-31. The Warriors pushed the score to 45-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Wahoo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Claire Emerson out in front who posted 13 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Emerson a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Gretchen Seagren, who had nine points and six blocks.

Wahoo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne only pulled down four offensive boards.

Despite the loss, Wayne still got an impressive performance from Haley Kramer, who earned 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan McGuire, who put up seven points.

Wahoo has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Wayne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Wahoo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-38 win against Plattsmouth on the 13th. As for Wayne, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-28 victory against Wynot on the 13th.
