Basketball Recap: Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons vs. Bolles Bulldogs
After flying high against Clay last Tuesday, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind came back down to earth. The Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons were beaten by the Bolles Bulldogs 72-42 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).
Bolles was led to victory by Evie Freeman and Terrell McCoy. Freeman went 7 of 15 on her way to 16 points along with seven assists and seven steals, while McCoy went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Freeman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Knauff, who posted 13 points.

With the defeat, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-1. As for Bolles, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Florida School for the Deaf & Blind will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Bolles, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-48 win against Fleming Island on the 20th.
