Baseball Game Preview: Breckenridge Buckaroos vs. Early Longhorns

The Breckenridge Buckaroos will head out on the road to take on the Early Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Breckenridge will be strutting in after a victory while Early will be coming in after a loss.

Breckenridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Eastland on Wednesday as Breckenridge made off with a 19-6 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Buckaroos with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Early suffered their closest defeat since March 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Comanche by a score of 11-9.

Eli Pallette made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Jaxson Stockman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Even though they lost, Early always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Early dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Breckenridge, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8-1.

Everything went Breckenridge's way against Early when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Breckenridge made off with a 6-0 win. Does Breckenridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Early turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
