Mars came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the West Allegheny Indians by a score of 62-51. The Fightin' Planets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Mars' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for West Allegheny, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Coming up, Mars and North Hills will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Fightin' Planets will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Allegheny, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bethel Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
