Adrian Sanchez Turns in Season-Best Effort

Adrian Sanchez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Glen Rose to the win on Friday. Sanchez picked up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards.

Glen Rose's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Sanchez and Glen Rose will host Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Braylen Benson Delivers Best Performance of Season

Braylen Benson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hillsboro to the win on Friday. Benson rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 57 yards.

The victory got Hillsboro back to even at 3-3. Benson and Hillsboro will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m.

Canyon Evans Delivers Electric Effort Vs Godley

Canyon Evans posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Godley had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Evans it was a similar story. When Evans last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns.

While Dunbar might've come up empty on Friday, Ja'Marion Garrett wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Garrett as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Dunbar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Garrett and Dunbar will host Venus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Eight Total Tackles from Jacoryn Johnson

Jacoryn Johnson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 17th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He turned in his biggest game of the season, forcing a fumble and making 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

On the season, Johnson has averaged 11.5 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.
