While Haverhill's  win against Dracut wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hillies won by a  run and slipped past the Middies  8-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 8, 2023, but that streak is no more.
 Ava Moscaritolo (2027) made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   11  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Emmy Monrreal (2025) was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  double.  Gianna Pistone (2027) was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Haverhill  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in five consecutive  contests.
The  victory  got Haverhill back to even at 8-8. As for Dracut,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 8-5 record.
 Coming up, Haverhill will challenge Lowell at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Dracut, they will take on North Andover at 4:45  p.m.  on Friday.
