Basketball Game Preview: Forrest Rockets vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets

Forrest is 0-5 against Grundy County since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Forrest Rockets will venture away from home to challenge the Grundy County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m.

Forrest is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season last Saturday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Lewis County an easy 73-51 victory. One positive for the Rockets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Grundy County earned a 72-59 win over Merrol Hyde Magnet on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Grundy County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Forrest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Forrest came up short against Grundy County when the teams last played on December 6th, falling 46-37. Can Forrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
