Basketball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Oxbridge Academy can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 66-57 victory over the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors. This was payback for the ThunderWolves, who suffered a 52-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Oxbridge Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden St. Fort, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points. St. Fort is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Edwards Dunkley, who posted nine points.

Trinity Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Morency, who had 18 points. The dominant performance gave Morency a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Lopez, who put up 14 points.

Oxbridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
