Baseball Recap: Parkville Has No Trouble Against Lansdowne

Parkville won the last time they faced Lansdowne and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Knights have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brian Crispin De La Cruz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Weston Brine was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Collins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Parkville's record now sits at 8-4. As for Lansdowne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8-1.

Parkville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Pikesville on the 25th. As for Lansdowne, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Franklin on the 28th.
