Nampa will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bishop Kelly extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Vallivue. Considering the Knights have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Luca Quilici made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bishop Kelly let Ayden Boyd and Zach Wright run wild. Boyd went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Wright went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Wright has become a key player for Bishop Kelly: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-9 otherwise. Jaxson Brady was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Bishop Kelly kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Nampa was able to grind out a solid win over Caldwell on Tuesday, taking the game 12-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Konnor Rae looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Jaxon Wade and Nathan Kessinger did most of the damage at the plate: Wade went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Kessinger went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Wade has posted since back in March. Carter Smalley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Nampa pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Bishop Kelly, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Bishop Kelly's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Nampa, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bishop Kelly continue to outrun the ball?
