Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Swallows Charter Academy). They blew past the Manzanola Bobcats 85-29 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Swallows Charter Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals. The contest was Garcia's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mike Vazquez, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Swallows Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manzanola only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Manzanola's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillon Pittman, who posted 11 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Lange, who put up six points.

Swallows Charter Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Manzanola, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Swallows Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-12 win against Walsenburg on the 28th. As for Manzanola, they will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
