Roybal hadn't done well against Mendez recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Jaguars 9-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Alyssa Giron was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Giron was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brianna Garcia was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Natally Sostenes was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Roybal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Roybal pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mendez, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Roybal has already played their next game, a 16-1 defeat against Marquez on the 7th. As for Mendez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-10 win against Bernstein on the 7th.
