It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coleman had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They snuck past the Wolfe City Wolves with a 40-35 win. The Bluecats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Wolfe City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Herron, who picked up 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Casen Pessel did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 58 receiving yards.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Coleman, bringing their record for this year to 4-7. As for Wolfe City, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
