The Campbellsville Eagles lost to the Marion County Knights last Friday, but the Campbellsville Eagles didn't allow the Marion County Knights the same satisfaction on Friday. Campbellsville strolled past Marion County with points to spare, taking the game 56-42.
Campbellsville had a senior duo take command as Landon Colvin dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds and Deondre Weathers scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Campbellsville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Marion County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Edmonson County at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Edmonson County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Campbellsville likes a good challenge. Marion County and South Oldham will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in South Oldham's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
