Baseball Game Preview: Central Hardin Bruins vs. North Hardin Trojans

Central Hardin has gone 9-1 against North Hardin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Central Hardin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Central Hardin turned things around against Meade County on Monday. They put the hurt on the Green Waves with a sharp 7-1 win.

Devin Hubbard was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Central Hardin's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-11 when he doesn't).

Central Hardin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meade County struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, North Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Holy Cross.

North Hardin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Lirot, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Kaleb Eisenman was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Central Hardin's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for North Hardin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Central Hardin skirted past North Hardin 9-7 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
