Basketball Recap: Ridge Extends Road Winning Streak to Ten

Ridge waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against The Pingry School Big Blue by a score of 60-47. Given the Red Devil's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Big Blue are ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Pingry School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Polanco, who went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points and seven boards. Stefan Fahmy was another key player, putting up seven points.

Ridge's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for The Pingry School, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Ridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Newark Tech at 6:00 p.m. As for The Pingry School, they will venture away from home to challenge Bridgewater-Raritan at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
