Basketball Game Preview: Springlake-Earth Wolverines vs. Silverton Owls

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines will head out to take on the Silverton Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springlake-Earth is looking for their season's first win.

Last Friday, Springlake-Earth took a blow against Happy, falling 68-18. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1335th, while the Cowboys are ranked 443rd).

Kress typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Silverton proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 41-36 W over the Kangaroos.

Springlake-Earth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Silverton, their record is now 6-11.

Springlake-Earth came up short against Silverton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 35-27. Can Springlake-Earth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
