Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon). They never let the Golden Valley Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won eight in a row.
Jessica Carr made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Karina Montero was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Torres, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
