Football Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Montgomery lost against Sonoma Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings took a 28-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons.

Cayden Waldrop had a dynamite game For Sonoma Valley., rushing for 211 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 37 receiving yards. Waldrop showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards. Another player making a difference was Benicio Reyes, who picked up 55 receiving yards and two scores.

Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sonoma Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Montgomery is taking a road trip to face off against Miramonte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sonoma Valley, they will face off against Justin-Siena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
