Elk Mound extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 9-3 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Boyceville Bulldogs. This was payback for the Mounders, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Boyceville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs.

For Boyceville's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Lunderville, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Coming up, Elk Mound will take on Cadott at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mounders are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Boyceville, they will challenge Mondovi at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
