The Brookfield Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Pymatuning Valley Lakers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brookfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Brookfield came out on top against Liberty on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Warriors put the hurt on the Leopards with a sharp 9-2 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three games in a row.

Braydon Demaria made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Bray Coleman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Brookfield: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-5 otherwise. Blake Hammond was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Brookfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pymatuning Valley and Grand Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Lakers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.
The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Pymatuning Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Brookfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Pymatuning Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2022, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
