Soccer Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Craven last Tuesday, Havelock came back down to earth. The Havelock Rams lost 3-0 to the New Bern Bears on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Bears are ranked 28th).

Havelock's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for New Bern, they pushed their record up to 3-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Havelock will venture away from home to challenge South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Havelock is facing South Central at the right time seeing as South Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for New Bern, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Chapel Hill on the 7th.
