Baseball Game Preview: Clarksville Panthers vs. Alma Airedales

The Clarksville Panthers will take on the Alma Airedales at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clarksville lost 11-2 to Dover on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Briley Reeder was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Brack Denton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Alma came up short against Fayetteville on Thursday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Airedales in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Clarksville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Alma, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
