Softball Recap: Brunswick Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Brunswick Academy entered their tilt with Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-2 win. Ten seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Lexi Vaughan Howerton, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Avery Griffin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Brunswick Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
