MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings

As states wind down, regional champions start to be crowned.


State champions are being crowned across the country as the 2014 high school football season winds down.

As such, changes the Regional Football Rankings are becoming more few and far between. The Midwest region, for example, has ended competition and has already crowned a regional champion.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:



West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest:
North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South:
Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast:
Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
