Baseball Recap: Tahoka's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Ropes hit Tahoka with a nine-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Eagles, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Tahoka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Gutierrez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Tahoka's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Ropes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5.

Coming up, Tahoka will head out on the road to take on Smyer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ropes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
