Bishop Stang is a perfect 8-0 against Middleborough since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Sachems at 5:30 p.m. Bishop Stang will be strutting in after a win while Middleborough will be coming in after a defeat.

Bishop Stang took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Dighton-Rehoboth Regional. The Spartans not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since October 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Meanwhile, Middleborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Durfee.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 24-26, 25-10, 25-18.

Middleborough's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Bishop Stang, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Everything went Bishop Stang's way against Middleborough in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Bishop Stang made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
