Basketball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maxwell can now relate to. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Etna Lions on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 41-32.

Maxwell has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Etna's win bumped their record up to 8-16.

Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. Redding Christian will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Etna surely won't give up without a fight.
