Baseball Recap: Conner Takes a Loss

Conner lost to Ryle on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 6-5. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conner's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Ryle, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Conner will head out on the road to take on Simon Kenton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ryle, they will host Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bluebirds have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
