Basketball Game Preview: Lake Oconee Academy Titans vs. Charlton County Indians

The Lake Oconee Academy Titans will challenge the Charlton County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Lake Oconee Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Washington-Wilkes. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Charlton County posted their closest win since February 13, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Brooks County 52-49. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won seven in a row.

Charlton County's win came from a few key players Lake Oconee Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rihanna Battle, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Trenity Hamilton, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Charlton County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Lake Oconee Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Charlton County, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
