Basketball Recap: Wadley Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

If Woodland wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wadley, they should've done a better job of containing Frisco Robertson. The Wadley Bulldogs blew past the Woodland Bobcats 76-33 on Monday thanks in part to Robertson, who went 9 of 12 en route to 24 points. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Desmond Thomas was another key player, putting up nine points and five blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Wadley pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 25.5% in those games and 21% outside of them. As for Woodland, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Wadley will be playing at home against Winterboro at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
