Basketball Recap: Kenner Haston's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Perry County over Middle Tennessee Christian

Perry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 67-60 to the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Perry County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenner Haston, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Landon Warren was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Perry County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they moved to 1-5 with that win, which also ended their 19-game losing streak.

Perry County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-41 loss against Rogers on the 28th. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 87-53 defeat against Loretto on the 28th.
