Sun Valley is 1-9 against Marvin Ridge since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Meanwhile, Marvin Ridge faced Charlotte Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Mavericks' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 4-0 shutout. Marvin Ridge might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by four goals or more this season.

Marvin Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1. Sun Valley's draw makes their record 6-7-2 this season.

Sun Valley might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Marvin Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
