Basketball Recap: Bryant Hurricanes vs. Saraland Spartans
After flying high against Chickasaw on Thursday, Bryant came back down to earth. The Bryant Hurricanes took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saraland Spartans. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bryant still got an impressive performance from Madi-Marie Grayson, who went 8 of 19 en route to 22 points and four steals. Grayson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mari-Margret Grayson, who posted 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Bryant's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11. As for Saraland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.
Bryant will challenge Mary G. Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bryant's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Saraland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-36 victory against Blount on the 3rd.
