Volleyball Recap: Las Plumas Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Las Plumas lost against Gridley on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Younger Leila paced Las Plumas' offense, picking up three kills. Leila were helped by Olivea Hobbs and Makenzi Sills, who contributed two assists each. Finally, Leila was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Las Plumas' loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Gridley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Las Plumas is set to take on their familiar foe Oroville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gridley will face off against rival Live Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
