Forest Park lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Patriot, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Bruins put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 9-3 win on Thursday. Considering the Bruins have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Forest Park pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Patriot, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Park will challenge Gar-Field at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins are facing the Red Wolves at the right time seeing as the Red Wolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Patriot, they will head out on the road to square off against Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
