Basketball Recap: Hamilton Skates Past Stevensville with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). They blew past the Stevensville Yellowjackets, posting an 82-39 win. The Broncs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Jette, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The game was Jette's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Canaan Magness, who went 6 for 13 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Hamilton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Stevensville, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hamilton will face off against Beaverhead County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beaverhead County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stevensville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 94-40 defeat against Butte Central Catholic on the 18th.
