Baseball Recap: Waterville Comes Up Short

Waterville managed to slip by Oroville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Shockers lost 11-2 to the Hornets on Friday. The game marked the Shockers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Waterville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Poff, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Waterville and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Oroville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1.

As of now, neither Waterville nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
