The home team had come away the winner the last four times Sumrall and Northeast Jones had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sumrall was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 25-17.

Sumrall's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Northeast Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumrall will host Natchez at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast Jones, they will welcome Perry Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
