Football Recap: Blair Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Blair had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Standing Bear Grizzlies by a score of 24-21 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Brevin Leggott threw for 170 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes. Hayden Daggett was his top target, picking up 88 receiving yards. On the ground, Blaise Baughman rushed for 179 yards and a pair of TDs.

Among those leading the charge was Hayden Holdren, who threw for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Blair wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-7 defeat against Pius X on the 5th. As for Standing Bear, they have also already played their next game, a 35-7 loss against Skutt Catholic on the 5th.
