Basketball Game Preview: Field Kindley Golden Tornado vs. Parsons Vikings

Field Kindley is 1-9 against Parsons since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Field Kindley Golden Tornado will venture away from home to face off against the Parsons Vikings.

Last Tuesday, Field Kindley was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Independence. The loss was the Golden Tornado's first of the season.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Parsons, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Labette County with a 64-60 win back in December of 2024. 64 seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Parsons now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Field Kindley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Field Kindley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Parsons when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Field Kindley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
