Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Flames vs. GVCS Broadfording Lions
The Shalom Christian Academy Flames had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against GVCS Broadfording by a score of 69-58 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, GVCS Broadfording still got an impressive performance from Jordan Shifler, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Shifler set a new season high mark in points with 36. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Monroe , who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Shalom Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for GVCS Broadfording, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Shalom Christian Academy will challenge Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for GVCS Broadfording, they will be playing at home against Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
