Softball Recap: Bellbrook Comes Up Short

If Bellbrook was riding high fresh off their 16-5 takedown of West Carrollton on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Ross Rams on Friday, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Wednesday.

Bellbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Walts (Defiance College), who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Bellbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ross, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellbrook will challenge Dixie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ross, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Monroe at 5:00 p.m.
