Basketball Recap: Heaven Coles Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mcdonough

Thomas Stone hadn't done well against McDonough recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Thomas Stone Cougars strolled past the McDonough Rams with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 45-35 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Thomas Stone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heaven Coles, who posted 12 points along with five boards and five steals. Coles is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Malaiyah Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points and 12 rebounds.

Thomas Stone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for McDonough, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
