Citronelle and St. Paul's Episcopal are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Citronelle is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Citronelle didn't have quite enough to beat Mary G. Montgomery and fell 6-5.

Jodee Lambert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Blaklee Holliman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Dickinson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, St. Paul's Episcopal didn't have quite enough to beat Mobile Christian on Monday and fell 5-4. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Voris was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Fancy Malone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Citronelle's record now sits at 3-16. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, their record is now 7-11.

Citronelle suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to St. Paul's Episcopal when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
