Football Recap: Rocky Ford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rocky Ford extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They were outmatched by the Springfield Longhorns and fell 62-20. If the Meloneers were looking for revenge after losing 54-32 to the Longhorns when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Although Rocky Ford took the loss, they still got scores from Cayson Vandyk and Shayne Gonzales.

As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Coltin Woodhouse, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, and also threw for 161 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Springfield's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
