It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Fort Bend Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Tomball Kings Homeschool 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since February 21st.

Greyson Simoneaux looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jake Pellegrino, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Wadlington, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Fort Bend Christian Academy moved to 6-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Tomball Kings, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14-1.

Coming up, Fort Bend Christian Academy will face off against Lutheran South Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Tomball Kings, they will square off against Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
