Au Gres-Sims proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hillman Tigers 32-30. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why Hillman lost, don't look at Evan Crane. Despite the final result, he picked up 112 receiving yards and one TD. Crane was even better on defense, making 11 total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Au Gres-Sims' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hillman, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Au Gres-Sims does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillman, they will head out on the road to face off against Rogers City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Hurons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
