Football Recap: Denver Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Denver Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Denver Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Robert Burns and Mason Priebe.

Hawkins Flanagan had an outrageously good game for Dayspring Christian Academy as he rushed for 104 yards and five TDs, and also threw for 91 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Denver Christian will face off against Estes Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will take on Holly at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
